What is the default risk really like with USDC in a massive crypto crash? Tempted to move a fair amount of my cash over to it as Voyager will pay me 10% interest on those deposits.

I don’t see any risk at this stage in the game. CeFi companies like Voyager, Celsius, Gemini, BlockFi aren’t going anywhere

I'm looking into this as well, but I'm leery. There has to be a catch. How are they able to offer those rates on what is essentially cash?

And what's the fundamental difference between usdt and usdc?

My understanding is that those insane rates are there as they feed the market for spot futures arbitrage with bitcoin.

Thought about it but have no time, a guy who wrote a few smart contracts now in use by yearn and hegic recommended the crypto zombies tutorials

Yeah I've seen that. I will use that as part of tool set. I have very little programming experience (i dabble in Python from time to time to help me with work tasks), so I'm basically starting from scratch. I'm using a mix of Solidity documentation on their website and this Youtube playlist

There's also an entire book for free on Github

I usually take ~45mins during my work day to study, or I take an hour after my kid goes to bed instead of playing video games or watching TV.

Just heard them talking Gemini on CNBC.

Seems intriguing but my stepdad told me to never trust twins pushing anything over 5 points interest. What’s the catch?

I hoped the announcement would give it a good bump. Still down for the day.

I'm not going anywhere though.

And neither one has the technical chops to know better. Without that one can only choose to believe what the hype machines of any project say.
