appreciate the reply, but i dont think youd believe it was such a giant gamble if you truly understood the tech behind it

to me, this is like investing in the internet before the internet was created

and that is why there is so much volatility, we dont know the value of this platform, and we likely never will anytime in the near future

Polo @ $217 currently and GDAX @ $229

If withdrawal times were instant or at least very fast it seems money could be made. I may try it once I buy in.

polo trades in usdt and gdax trades in usd so its not as big of a spread as one would think on the surface

there are opportunities for arbitrage, but usually, thats when its in a 20-30 range difference

I'm no expert, but the way I view the current value of block-chain "currencies" like bitcoin and ethereum is the following:

5% - practical use
10% - black market use
50% - short term investors
35% - long term investors

Ideally the percentage of their value supported by practical use will go up with time otherwise their value will eventually collapse.

I think I might set a stop limit tonight in case it tanks in my sleep. What say y'all?

$175
$180

Are we thinking it could go lower?

So give me an analytical reason why ETC should be valued where it is. You know, since you "understand" the tech.

itd be easier if you just read this, the history is at the top, ETH and its future is at the bottom

It went from the 200's to the 120's four days ago. I'd say it could go lower

Good call. I'm wrecked from not sleeping well lately. Took a bunch of Benadryl earlier. Set one for $140/$145. We'll see what happens. Happy China watching, y'all!

You aren't because you can't. Look you can have a gut feeling or a solid reason to believe in why ETH or some other crypto currency has a market cap of 10,20,30 billion dollars, but you can't tell me why that is fundamentally a reasonable value. Why any one of the hundreds of other cryptocurrencies won't step in to take its place.

my bearish stance on china is that these bastards have been mining the crap out of this and are just going to unload once the market opens causing a massive selloff
