I'm roughly the same except I don't own OMG. I do own BAT just because the browser I use gives it to me and the exchange rate to get out of it is too high for the amount that I have.

pretty amusing reading through this thread where everyone suddenly has bitcoin now after silence about it for years lol
I should have bought more sooner. I bought some right around the $20,000 mark back in 2017 and then it crashed so that kinda made me not want to buy any for a while. Started buying some earlier this year when it was around $11,000.

The fact that there is a ton of stuff is built on ETH is worth something.

If ETH becomes what some of the researchers at the ETH foundation have visions for it will be a total game changer for finance. I want it to be successful due to all its possibilities but it will definitely take time for adaptation.

I’m just learning the ins and outs of crypto. I bought some BTC via Robinhood bc it’s easy. Has me thinking long term though about not being able to pull coins out as well as concentrating my investment in a platform that could be more susceptible to theft by hackers. What are your off the cuff suggestions on where to invest for a noob crypto investor? I’m trying to understand wallets now and probably just need to get on Coinbase and start small to learn it. My first concern above relates more to how I would not be able to use my coins to make purchases as they are wrapped in a platform that doesn’t allow retrieval when they’re finally widely accepted as money.

Cash App is the easiest and has lower fees than shitty arse Coinbase. Once you get a big enough stack to make you nervous if it gets hacked, store on an offline wallet such as Trezor. They are pretty easy to use.

ETA: I'd leave your BTC on Robinhood that you already bought and just ride the wave on that stack. All future purchases should be on a platform that allows you to actually own your coins and move them (such as Cash App)

yea coinbase has videos you can watch and learn and earn different crypto. it's pretty noob friendly

like was mentioned cash app is likely the easiest but coinbase does make an effort to help beginners learn which is nice

plenty things you can do with your coins once you have the private keys

Here's a couple of good articles backing your point.

Bitcoin Will Rise Above $100,000 In 2021

Bitcoin Blasts Past $33K for First Time, Hours After Blowing Through $30K

Especially read the first article and understand this chart related to the average halving cycle. Bitcoin is rapidly catching back up to where it should be if it were tracking the average halving cycle.

In the light blue area, the upper line and lower line defining the area represent the previous two halving tracks. The dark blue line is the average of the two. The graph is a logarithmic scale so the average does not look like the average. The orange line is where we are now in the current halving cycle. The chart is dated December 17, 2020 and had Bitcoin at $22,135. We are on track in the current halving cycle to make significant gains.
