I have calls in RNG, JCOM, ROKU, NVDA, GDDY, CSCO, AMAT and a few other smaller plays. I will probably buy some weeklys on Monday for later in the week so I am hoping the market is down a little Monday morning like it was Friday.

Watching CVS, DENN, DXCM, WM, GOLD

BABA will be interesting because of guidance and the virus IMO but I am staying away

I apologize for potential silly question, but I am very new to all of this. When you say you have calls in on all of those stocks, when is the best time to buy them during the week? Sunday? Thanks I’m advance.

Generally you can’t buy options until Monday morning

Options can only be traded during normal market hours. There are different time expirations such as weeklys, monthlies, leaps. There is no "best time to buy" as that depends on a variety of factors, but unless you are buying leaps, you generally want to time your trade around a binary event that will move the stock which is why options heat up when that company will be reporting earnings.

imo, the best time to buy calls...is after 2-3+ consecutive down days..

...
$jcom is the only thing i have for today..
sold at the open.. (5) naked (zero now) delta puts.. 11 days out.
very low volume stock.. it will either expire worthless or i'll get assigned (which is ok)

I could never make it on r/WSB because when I see 30% gains I start to look into locking it in and not carrying through earnings. It's safe and profitable. I like home runs but you can get rich off of base hits too.

So far today

Will hold a few until closer to their earnings but I am going to sell RNG before the close today and probably hold JCOM as they both announce this evening.

Tesla volatile as ever this morning. Spiked to 815 in the pre-market and dumping now.

I don't have enough capital, as I do most of my trading in trad IRA, to trade options just yet. I am longing or shorting everything I buy at the moment.

Once I get some cash freed up, I'm gonna start yolo'ing with them

It's like a casino. A handful of them win and win big but the majority of them are paying to keep the casino lights on.

Maybe yolo was the wrong term. I'm going to gamble the fringe of my portfolio and keep the core as is

I’m on my fourth trade on Tesla right now. First three were profitable and I’m in the money on the 4th at moment.

volitile sure... but that volume looks lightweight to me.

i need to see a bit more surge of volume(on some time frame) before i personally help out with liquidity.

...

also...
if you can get a good price before closing.. AKAM looks interesting for a (long) Strangle play on earnings announcement.

i see no resistance above.. and the nearest strong support is at 89-ish

RNG and JCOM each beat today and I am up in the 70-80% range on NVDA and DENN so far. Good start to the week.
