I hate to even make this recommendation, but this is what the part time program at Southern is used for. Takes four years instead of three, and you will be around some seriously dumb people, but you’ll have the degree.
It may be worth doing if you have some kind of assurance from your employer that you will be able to use the degree to move into the legal department.

I know most people usually go with the MBA but with it getting watered down I'm considering the MLS. Thoughts?
Truly don't understand this one...
MBA's are still very valuable. Just mostly regional based when you get outside of top 25. Get it in the city you work in and itll pay off dividends with a vast new network unless you're doing a double LSU and LSU degree which has pros and cons.
But if you think a MBA is watered down and assuming not worth it. I can't even imagine getting a masters in legal studies

I would suggest this route instead of a Masters in Legal Studies.
My suggestion would be to pursue an MBA online from a brand name school before going the MLS or the law school at night avenue.
I honestly can’t find a reason to pursue a MLS unless it’s for personal development/satisfaction or just to check a resume box for a position that requires a masters level degree.
