I'm suggesting that, in the context of the Money Talk board, if someone brings up rising inflation, retorting simply that it used to be worse is either useless prattle or political deflection.
So facts are useless prattle or deflection? Using your logic, your own post was politically motivated. Congratulations

Nope.
Here, I'll help:
Let's say we're discussing the relative virtues of feeding cattle grass vs grain vs corn. Then, someone posts "cow farts release methane".
That statement would be absolutely, positively, 100% true. It would also either be utterly useless, or it's intended to convey something beyond the mere fact stated.
So, again, if you had to take a wild leaping guess, what was TheBoo trying to convey when they posted what they did?

Terrible analogy, cow's have been farting for as long as cows were walking the earth.

Here is a real analogy for you. Someone posts a thread that backs up your political ideology. At another point somebody posts something that counters your political ideology and then accuse them of being eaten up with politics.

That’s… not an analogy? Words can be hard, though. I get it
Which political ideology is represented by posting that inflation is up? What exactly is my political ideology?
But hey, you acknowledged that TheBoo’s post was political, so at least we are making progress

I said it countered your political ideology. Reading can be hard. Facts are non political and can be harmful to certain political beliefs without being political. Sorry if those recent facts upset you into trying to ridicule someone that simply stated a fact

I notice you skipped the first two questions. Have a good evening, mate

I don't work for you
I will say that your personal attack on a post that was relevant to the discussion is a clue.

Still better than 20%
Show me a graph where it was 20%. I’ll wait.

One of the worst things in the modern world of discussing business and economics is invariably someone is going to make it political. It’s really hard to have an objective discussion these days.
