Came across the stock MLFB recently. It is a publicly traded football league who plans to launch a season this summer. Their plan is to not compete with the NFL but instead serve as a developmental league to the NFL. Seemed like an interesting but speculative play. Any thoughts or info?

Think that stock has been around awhile. Might be a good long term play.

Seems like this has been tried and failed multiple times. Is don't know if any of the previous companies were publicly traded though.

The xfl failed, whatever that league a couple years ago was failed. Then there is the CFL also.

I don't know how much value there is in a developmental league when there is already college football.

To my knowledge this is the first publicly traded football league which is what makes it appealing. Both fans and players can be investors.

Followed that for a minute at some point last year. It didn’t move forever so I stopped watching. Never saw much news of it ever progressing til this post.

Idk i tend to invest in stocks i deal with in the real world or see them making an impact. Given the stock seems cool that i haven't heard of it and am a huge football fan indicates at a minimum they're not advertising well, as the algorithm s should be shoving this down our throat on a sports site money board

I have about $200 in MLFB. Yes they've failed to launch in past years. But they just filed a 8k about a week ago paying employees in shares and stating they're still on track for a demo season this summer.

They still need to release more details, but I'm very optimistic it happens this year due to that SEC filing a week ago. Paying employees in shares is extremely bullish imo.

In past years it has run to $1 without the season even launching. It has a very low float for a penny stock so when the hype catches on it moves fast.

From what I’ve read news should come out this week. Not sure if I should pull the trigger. High risk, high reward.

If it hasn't moved yet you might buy now and then sell when they announce if you think there is gonna be a run

Market Cap of $12 million?? Seems like a big time long shot. But with meme stonk culture, it could pay off. Purely a gamble though.
