For those that have taken FIN 730 with Choi, is it necessary to take FIN 701 prior to FIN 730?

For Yin has anyone used dual monitors?

Thanks for that link.
I just finished my Summer 2 courses.
ECON with Fanta and MKT with Durrat. I liked the ECON class but it was more writing than I expected. He also has a test every week, but it was usually pretty straight forward from the chapter. No need to memorize formulas or anything, which was nice.
MKT was too bad. The tests were pretty hard I thought. The writing assignments were weekly with 3 papers over the 7 weeks. Lot of writing at times but pretty fair course overall.
These were my first courses, so I don't have anything else to compare to but I'd recommend either of them

Yes. I've even taken the assessment on my lap top while using my dual monitored desktop to scroll through powerpoints and use excel. Figured worst case, the proctor would tell me it's not allowed, but they havent said anything. I just position the laptop so they can see what my desktop screens are showing.

Nice. Any more info on Kim? Haven't seen much about him on here. Any group work? Weekly exams and discussion boards? Still debating which instructor to try to take for MADM
For Minsun Kim, there are 7 Module exams, 6 application assignments, 6 case analysis forums(discussion posts with 2 responses to other classmates), a final exam & an introduction video for extra credit. This may seem like a lot of work but to me, juggling it with my other class at the time (ACCT 701 with Yin) was not hard. She was responsive to emails as well as her helpful teacher aides who graded our assignments.

That's great to hear, Sombrero. I'm taking ECON 305 with Fanta next session, and I was a little worried. But reading your post, I think it'll be fine. So there weren't any group projects? Those scare me the most.

Has anyone taking ACCT 701 with Yu Bai? I haven't seen anything in the forum yet and I'm wondering if its OK to double up ACCT 701 with Bai with ISDS705 with Gibbs. From what I've read Gibbs is pretty light.

I am not sure why I am so apprehensive to take Yins final. I can make an 81 and keep an A.

I needed an 80 on Kungu's last test this week in MADM 701 for the A and I pooped out a 76. No way ill stew about that test for the next two weeks...

Hi All, I just applied to the Online MBA program for this Fall for AP2. Could you guys provide suggestions for which courses I should take first? I am planning on taking 1 course per 7 weeks as I work too much to do anything more. My current concentration is General Business but leaning more towards Data Analytics.

How did you do? I made a 75

I had a 96 overall going into the final. I ended up with a High B in the class also. I thought the exam was brutal. I did see somewhere in her notes where she was going to curve the quiz scores, so who knows.

Rybo that sucks. I have Kungus final this afternoon and then I am finished with the program. There are so many nit picky definitions in this weeks reading that I am not overly confident.
Posted on 8/24/19 at 1:31 pm to SATNIGHTS
That's my fear as I've heard that test was brutal. I just hope I don't bomb final too bad.
Posted on 8/24/19 at 1:33 pm to SATNIGHTS
I'm really nervous also. I'll take a B with flying colors
Posted on 8/24/19 at 3:34 pm to Rybo44
Rybo, I missed the A cutoff in his class by .54% (I [very] stupidly thought it would be okay to skip the Proctorio Pretest and first exam and think about this all. The. Time). Maybe he will curve the final for you!

If you have the time to crank out 2,000 word papers each week and meet with a group for <1 hr per week, I think Meeks’ MADM760 gives a good intro to business. Just my opinion.

@kiki
Thanks! Unfortunately, his class is full right now. I will check again later.

If you are doing Data Analytics, I read ISDS702 is a great one to take first. I am not taking it till Spring AP2. I've heard good things about Koksal.

Kungu curved the entire quiz section for our class what looks to be 4%, which got me an A -- wow! Still, a tough class and I could not recommend to our peers in the program. However, it is nice to see a professor realize that the tests/finals were too difficult when measured against the level of professor efforts.
