Just I removed ISDS 705 (Lind) from my list. I'll wait for another semester for a reasonable workload. I'm in a position to combine another subject with FIN 701 from this list - MADM 701, MKT 701, ECON 705, ISDS 705. Thanks for all your help and advice.

Refer to page 393 of this forum. You can also google this specific forum. I tried posting instructions on how to do it twice, but it seems the forum doesn't like something about it. You will need to use google to figure it out.

Hey there Husigma, I *just* got into Moodle for the 1st time today. It doesn't look like our course information is loaded yet, but it is nice to finally gain access.

If you can afford to do so, I highly recommend signing up for multiples of the same class each session. You can register for up to 3 classes per session, and I recommend doing so for the most challenging courses. The TBA typically won't resolve until AFTER payment is due, so you will need to pay in advance. You can always drop the less optimum teacher. You even have a few days after classes start to get a 100% refund which you can arrange to have electronically deposited back to your bank account.
I did this between Huang and Yin's ACCT 701 and decided on Huang after reviewing the syllabus and other materials in each course.

I'll be honest, I can't remember. It didn't seem very long though. Give it at least two weeks.

I highly recommend FIN 740 for Finance Concentration, the first class in the program that I am able to learn something new. Dr. Kim is very nice and fair.

Yes, Sung Ik Kim. He is the only professor that teaches the course. I really like it. It's hard but possible to get an A if you work on it. I heard that Hsieh classes are confusing. This one you can apply to work. It is a very interesting class, which I didn't learn from my undergrad school.

Does it teach you to model finance in R and build predictive analysis from the model?

Yes, you will learn to write code in R and how to use those code for data analytics. The class has no quiz, no exam, just weekly assignments and a project, if you know how to do the assignment, you can easily complete the project. I got 100% for the project. I found it very interesting. I have 14 years of experience in Audit and Finance, they didn't have these modern tools back when I went to college in 2005. It is not an easy class but the professor is super nice and fair. FIN 720 & 710 didn't have good reviews so I took this class, it was actually a very good decision.

Just finished up her Spring course. Her grading is inconsistent as hell. I'm guessing she doesn't really monitor what the TA's are doing.
