I see your logic, but that's the fallacy of dividends. Spending dividends is drawing down your capital. It is literally the company returning capital to the investors (on their timeline not yours). Problem is in 25+ years you are much more likely to have a significantly smaller accumulated nest egg if investing in dividend stocks. Think about it like this, do you want to invest your capital in companies that use their earnings to expand or those that see limited growth opportunities so they return capital to investors to do what they will?
That actually makes a lot of sense. I appreciate the helpful feedback.

I'd at least buy 100 shares each in RKLB and Spcx....one, or both, wil go up 100 times or more over the next 20 years. Hell, i would buy 200 shares each. Get a top growth mutual fund for the rest. Also take advantage of roth every single year.

just consider instead of 50% SCHD..... do 25% SCHD and 25% SCHG similar but not exactly the same. You will be fine

similar but not exactly the same
"SCHD and SCHG have virtually zero overlap (less than 1% by weight), making them nearly perfect polar opposites.Because of their strict and contrasting selection criteria, these two ETFs share almost no common holdings. SCHG filters for high-growth companies that reinvest all their cash, while SCHD strictly selects stable, cash-flowing companies with a track record of paying high dividends." -Google AI mode
