The previous LWLG thread was anchored so I'm starting a new one. If any of you have not heard of Lightwave Logic or have not done the full DD here, go research this company ASAP. This is a truly legit, speculative long-term buy and hold photonics play.

Lightwave Logic is a potential multi-billion dollar (currently pre-revenue) company in the making and they are (still) flying under the radar. These guys have solid patents and are looking to uplist to NASDAQ soon. Their platform leverages proprietary tech to develop next-gen electro-optic polymers (plastic) which increase the efficiency of internet infrastructure by converting data into optical signals, allowing more data to be transmitted at significantly higher speeds and with less power than existing solutions.

These videos (they are not short) are a good place to start. Watch them in order for better context:

Global Foundries, EPIC, and Lightwave Logic discuss bringing Photonics to Foundries

Lightwave Logic Presentation at Noble.com (Feb 2020)

2021 ASM

As you can see in the chart below, LWLG went on an insane run last month (1.65 - $17.24) after the 2021 ASM, further fueled by this press release, but is currently in "retrace mode." I'm not saying to buy right now but if 7.30 holds then it would be an absolutely bullish AF sign. They could legit announce the uplist to Nasdaq as early as tomorrow. It has been rumored they are partnering with Global Foundries. Lightwave CEO says they will drop co-authored press releases to announce their partnerships when the time is right. Also note they have not released official revenue guidance besides saying their TAM by 2025 is in the $10b ballpark. As always, put in the DD before investing!

80m ish...but retail has most of the share locked up. Actual float is probably closer to 50m.

Lightwave Logic Announces Breakthrough Thermal Design for Use in Ultra-High-Speed Polymers
Enhanced Thermal Properties Enable the Speed, Flexibility and Stability Needed for High-Volume Silicon Foundry Processes

quote:

ENGLEWOOD, Colo., Aug. 4, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- Lightwave Logic, Inc. (OTCQX: LWLG), a technology platform company leveraging its proprietary electro-optic polymers to transmit data at higher speeds with less power, today announced that it has developed improved thermal design properties for electro-optic polymers used in its Polymer Plus™ and Polymer Slot™ modulators, enabling the speed, flexibility and stability needed for high-volume silicon foundry processes.

"High-temperature thermal performance is one measure of robustness and a key metric commonly discussed with potential customers for fiber optic datacenter and telecommunications applications," said Dr. Michael Lebby, Chief Executive Officer of Lightwave Logic. "Our in-house team successfully created a 2x improvement in r33, while allowing higher stability during poling and post-poling. This provides not only better thermal performance, but also enables greater design flexibility in high-volume silicon foundry PDK (process development kit) processes. This is critical as we seek to make our technology ubiquitous throughout the marketplace.

"Preliminary results suggest that Lightwave Logic's recently developed electro-optic polymer material, designed based on customer input, displays unrivaled thermal performance tolerance as compared to any commercial solution in use today. We look forward to receiving feedback on this exciting new material from our potential customers," concluded Lebby.

Triple. Digit. Potential.

Lightwave Logic Receives New U.S. Patent on Improved Integrated Photonics Architectures

quote:

ENGLEWOOD, Colo., Aug. 9, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- Lightwave Logic, Inc. (OTCQX: LWLG), a technology platform company leveraging its proprietary electro-optic polymers to transmit data at higher speeds with less power, today announced the receipt of a U.S. patent on a new invention that enables enhanced optical routing architectures for polymer-based integrated photonics that can be scaled with partner foundries.

The new patent - U.S. Patent number 11,067,748 and entitled "Guide Transition Device and Method" – will enable innovative, highly scalable optical routing architectures for integrated photonic platforms. The patent provides novel optical waveguide transition designs using two planes of optical waveguides that are expected to be critical for optical signal routing and optical switching, opening the opportunity for high speed, energy efficient electro-optic polymers to be implemented into foundry PDKs (process development kits) to improve the performance of integrated photonic circuits.

"This exciting new patent not only turbocharges our integrated photonics platform in general, it is a powerful architectural routing patent that discloses how optical signals can be routed in two optical planes from light generation on-chip to light coupling off-chip," said Dr. Michael Lebby, Chief Executive Officer of Lightwave Logic. "This breakthrough technology opens the door for advanced integrated photonics architectural design – something the industry has been long waiting for.

"The simplicity of the design is ideal for production in foundries, best positioning Lightwave Logic to enable increased data traffic on the internet while using less power – powering the data-hungry lifestyle of today's internet users," concluded Lebby.

I haven't sold any shares and have no plans to anytime soon. I'm long LWLG because this has legit potential to eventually surpass $100/share. I'm at least going to wait for the Nasdaq uplist and official revenue guidance.

Why is the expectation $100/share? Is that an arbitrary number you’re using to highlight the potential appreciation based on the current share price?

Also when are they expecting to uplist? And when will the revenue guidance be shared?

Based on the CFO saying their TAM and part of the design-in by 2025 is $11b. And that is only including data center markets. The potential with this tech is fricking massive and will apply to many other sectors, like LiDAR for example.

They already meet all requirements for NASDAQ; just waiting on their application to be filed. I'm expecting them to be trading on the NASDAQ by October.

Yeah that SeekingAlpha article brought out some fresh FUD, so I don't blame you at all. But hey, $4 to $9 is still a pretty solid profit!

FYI, the author of the FUD-filled SA piece on LWLG tried the same thing on MVIS last Fall and it didn't work out too well for them.

I increased my position this week. I still really like the stock despite the slide in share price. LW's 10-Q should be released on Monday. I'm mainly just wanting to see what the cash position looks like right now. I think the next big bullish price mover will come off the heels of Lebby's ECOC presentation next month. That said, now that 7.30 failed to hold then we could possibly see the 4.50 area get tested if the shorts are still feeling strong next week. That might be a good spot to try and jump back in, if it comes. I will certainly be averaging down as much as possible at that level.

I’ have this on my watch list and almost bought around 9, I think. Thank God I didn’t. May jump in Monday. What’s more likely next week? $5 or $7.50?

Depends on what new insights the 10-Q gives us, if anything. My gut says a quick retest of 7.50 comes before $5. That said, I watched the share price go from 5.85 to 7.40 then back to 6.50 all in less than an hour yesterday. Short covering will cause some pretty quick pops in share price with this low floater.

Bought a small position around 7.50 and therein realized my mistake. Now I have to realize more fee costs to develop a full position.

That $6.95 fee with E*Trade is deceiving And adds up. I must have paid $100 in commissions during SLI (STLTH) run up.

I’m buying in Monday, btw. Small position. (frick you fee)
