Acerage never had an IPO right?
I've never done an IPO before, what are some tips for getting in early?

So yea last Monday was time to sell.

Now is the time to find those American weed stocks that will have value as US laws liberalize. Right now I own TGIFF & ITHUF.

Some of the others mentioned here are just too tiny for me to buy into. Can’t deal with those that cost less than a penny a share.

That’s where the real percentage gains come from. A simple press release or tweet makes the price jump by a cent or two, which can mean 50% - 100% gains.

I think those American companies are all penny stocks until America makes a move towards legalization, then you’ll see a big jump like the Canadian companies.

I sold off everything before last week except CGC and Aurora. I think they may get a bump once America legalizes. That’s my long play anyway.

I don’t think that is the case. The California cannabis market alone is supposed to be around 7x larger than the entire Canadian market - I think $50 bil vs. $7 bil were the last numbers I read. We don’t need American legalization for the California market - and thus the Cali cannabis companies - to be huge.

After reading this thread, I bought 140,000 shares of LVVV. I don't invest in a lot of individual stocks, but got the itch on this one. I plan to not look at it for a few weeks. Dad, when do you think it has a chance to take off again?

They are supposed to complete the audits for the uplisting to OTCQB (not sure on the timing of the actual uplisting relative to this) any time now. They tweeted about this last week hinting that it is just about done. This was also the reason for their website being down - they were overhauling it to make sure all wording is SEC compliant. Should see another spike when these financials are released or especially when the uplisting happens.

The other big news will be when we get the Paso Robles cultivation permit (the state cultivation permit should happen quickly once this occurs). The application was on hold for some reason, but a company who applied after Livewire just got their Paso Robles permit, so once we take care of whatever was lacking, that should happen quickly. This should give us a really good spike (at least the 50%+ we saw from the state cultivation license imo).

There could be a spike this week depending on the details of the Mojave Jane deal (MJ primarily does the chemical extraction for product manufacturing). Back in the summer we had signed a loi giving us minority interest with the option to acquire 100% of Mojave Jane, and we also became their master distributor. Well Friday I read news that High Hampton Holdings signed a letter of intent to acquire 100% of Mojave Jane. No one knows what this means yet, but people think it will be beneficial to us. We had hired a Canadian liason, so maybe this deal puts us into some kind of joint venture with High Hampton, which would be great. They have some things in the works at Coachella just like Livewire does. A Canadian link would be benefical I’m sure. Word is that Livewire will issue a press release on the details of this very soon, presumably early in the week. This could cause a spike too.

All three of these events are capable of causing nice little runs like we just saw when we hit the 6s for a couple days. But if al of these happen in quick succession, we could see a nice sustained run instead of just a temporary spike. I’m excited for the next couple months. I’ll be disappointed and perplexed if we aren’t over a dime by year’s end.

ETA: By Monday I’ll be at 200,000 shares. I’ve really been adding the past couple weeks just to have some extra to play with. There are so many irons in the fire that should cause spikes, I want to have 50,000 or so shares to flip on these runs.

Thanks for the info. Do you feel like this is one to hold on to for a few years? Can it get above $1?

That’s my plan. I’ll keep at least 100,000 shares for the long haul (at least a couple years). If everything goes according to plan - and so far I think all of their moves have been on point - I think it can go over a buck in that timeframe.

I wouldn’t call .037 tanking hard.

Anything sub .045 means you’ll be in green majority of the time you own it from what I have seen.

I’m done with throwing any more $ at this sector. I’ve lost about 30% so far and going to let that remaining 70% continue to work.

I lost money with namaste but made money with liberty health

It’s cheap and I may buy it again. Just have to sell when you have green knowing it’s going to turn back

I think ACB is a good buy in the 6's. What do I know though?

Still saving for that Acerage IPO that seems to never come.
