I like to buy BITO under 19

Companies will always find ways to squeeze out profits to beat expectations but the working class will continue to struggle.

Today I bought amzn and panw. Panw has been dropping because they spent 25 billion buying a company but that company will be a huge positive in the future. Might be ugly short term but long term should be solid.

I’m sorry but this chart is trash. What am I even looking at? And how can any of this data be accurately obtained?
BLS tracks it every month via the household survey.
Here is a Charles Schwab economist:

If tweet fails to load, click here. I’m not arguing it’s a main culprit for the downward revisions, but it’s not unreasonable to think that 1.5 million self deportations combined with border crossings being down 97% is going to materially impact labor data.
It’s the main reason average wages went up in the report.
quote:
The chart above, more than any other variable, explains what is going on with the labor market: millions of minimum-wage illegal workers are not only not applying for jobs, but are actively losing their jobs. In the process, wages are increasing on average (since low-paying workers are no longer entering the work force and are being replaced with higher paid native workers). Indeed, we could see that today because while the overall report was very weak, average hourly earnings not only rose sequentially, but printed higher than expected.

Exactly. Its why the CPI report is so off. As i have told many especially and old rotten poster that they use this for rents and not real time numbers
Inflation is at and has been below 2% like Trueflation shows

You should be careful about accusing others of ruining conversations.
Your red hot hatred of the president (which is fine) prevents YOU from having any sort of conversation.
You are no different than the minions you criticize.
I just get the sense that you are an angry person.
I see on your profile that you live in NOVA. That might explain it.
We know through ample data (see Nate Silver’s research for more info) that college educated women (and men to a less extent) report high levels of unhappiness, anxiety, mental anguish, etc. NOVA has more of these people than anywhere in America.
I think you are angry that your party is out of power and at record low approvals. I think you are angry at the federal job cuts that impacted your friends and family in NOVA. I think you are angry that your home state is now solidly red. I think you are angry that your own gender has zoomed rightward while you are left alone amongst the college educated cat women.
I think you use this board to lash out at the world that has left you behind.
And even ignoring all that, you don’t have a leg to stand on when it comes to the “dear leader” crap.
You used the money talk board and the OT lounge as a personal soapbox in 2023 and 2024 to insist Biden was fine and not suffering from cognitive decline. You accused anyone (even good folks like Slackster) who voiced concerns as engaging in disinformation and “deep fakes”.

This simply isn’t true. I was no fan of Biden. You have me confused with someone else.
I’m not an angry person. I’m a person that’s disgusted by the way the country is being run. We slash Medicaid and now want to build a useless $200,000,000 dollar ballroom that will rarely be used. I don’t have a problem with deporting “the worst of the worst” which was the stated intention. We all can see that isn’t the case. We have a president that at times (like Biden) can’t seem to put two coherent thoughts together.
Anyone who hasn’t been troubled by many of his statements has blinders on. His party wants nothing to do with bipartisanship. This resembles a regime more than it resembles a political party.
Yeah, I’ve lashed out at a couple of posters who seem to spew hatred in most of their posts. I probably should take the high ground more often.

I'm bored so for shits and giggles I looked at my 2024 posts. Not once did I defend Biden for anything. I guarantee my 2023 posts are the same.
The only comparison I made between the two was in a thread stating that Biden wore a hard hat backwards. I noted that Trump held the bible upside down in his infamous photo.
That's it so please get your facts straight.

Am I misremembering or were you a huge Romney fan in 2012?
There was a buckeye fan when I joined TD in 2012 who was pro Romney.
Was that you?

No sir, it was not me.
Until lately I've tended to avoid politics on this site until the last few months. I'll probably go back to that. I'm not changing anyones mind, nor are they mine.
Edited because I can't type.

The cuts to Medicaid were to remove fraud from people getting it who should be working, so that it preserves the sustainability of it for the people who TRULY need it.
Since the proposed ballroom at the white house is going to be funded privately by Trump(who is also the only President in memory who isn't taking his Presidential salary) along with other private donors, what does that matter to you as a taxpayer?? Do you think the next time a Democrat gets into the White House they won't appreciate having that beautiful addition? There is ABSOLUTELY no comparison between Biden and Trump when it comes to the good that has been done since Trump has been in offfice and those who compare rather than contrast the two are disingenuous and politically motivated.

Nonpartisan estimates were that there were 6-7 million people on Medicaid in 2024 who did not meet eligibility. They were on it due to covid era temporary relaxation of eligibility rules that expired in early 2023. It’s completely reasonable to expect Medicaid eligibility rules to be enforced.
I could go on and on about what a corrupt mess Medicaid has become. It’s actually the fastest growing program in America, despite no increase in poverty rate or unemployment since 2021.
Ending the provider tax loophole, which was a bipartisan Simpson-Bowles recommendation decades ago, is going to really help control the costs of the program. One of the good things that was included in BBB.
Note also that there were no “cuts” to Medicaid. Spending is set to increase 3% per year, instead of the previous baseline of 5%.
I recommend reading Brian Blase’s research and Jessica Riedl (used to be Brian Riedl but changed gender)‘s research on what a clusterfrick Medicaid was becoming to federal govt.
It was largely due to states, both blue and red, defrauding feds for unearned healthcare dollars
