I got denied for a CC... the only reason... I have too much open credit...

Only thing I ever desired a score for was a house and a car. I have both these. Everything else is cash payment because interest is money you can't ever see again.

You know you don't pay any interest on a credit card if you pay it off in full every month

It just doesnt matter. Can you get the loan at the rate you want? If the answer is yes, why does it matter if it is 815 or 797.. If you are dropping below 750, something is wrong.

Yes maybe I should have clarified that. I treat my CC like cash. It's 0'ed every month.

Just use your credit wisely and earn rewards with it. I do all my bills and shopping on my Sapphire card, then pay it off before interest accrues.

Then I use the points for flights, rooms, etc.
