* Saudi Arabia, China, Nigeria, and India have all been hinting around doing Oil transactions in Non-US Dollar denominated transactions -- the US Dollar could be toast if lose the Petro-Dollar / Reserve Currency Status
* Real Estate is at major highs every where, and investment real estate may be "Lord of the Flies" in trying to collect rent in an inflationary environment pinching renters on all sides
* Bonds are at the end of an epic multi-decade bull market
* S&P 500 is a damn roller coaster
* Cash gets burnt to the inflationary tune of 8-15% per year
I know they are boring and disfavored, but are Gold and especially Silver the best options right now?

The US government are idiots for sanctioning every country they don’t like. Why would any country want to use US dollars for major commodities when we are constantly abusing our financial power? Any smart country would immediately find alternative currencies to use. When the dollar collapses we did it to ourselves.

Yes but you are talking about the wrong metal. It was nickel's time to shine but you missed the boat. The boat was also tied to the dock for some people to protect more important boats/people.

This is the chart that got me to thinking. To answer your question, I'd say yes for gold, nope for silver, until it does ...
