Sit in some warm water for 15 minutes before the quote. Makes it easier.

This varies widely.
In FL, you talking panhandle or keys?
Keys=$$$$$$$
Panhandle=$$$
MS, not bad.
AL=$$$$, with 5% deductibles.
Also, year of home and year of roof impact greatly. Newer the home, cheaper the price.

Have windows Fully protected with either working shutters, covers or film protection or maybe hurricane windows that withstand 120 mph wind.
Flood will require the house to be elevated beyond flood plain levels. Depends on where it is.
