Yea I broker with MOO and I write a lot of buisness for them in Fl. I live in Navarre, FL by the way.

An alternative to LTC is Short Term Care/Nursing Home Care insurance. 360 max benefit but it is so much cheaper and I have had some success with it.
Underwriting is much, much easier.
Pays 35% commission.
It's through Continental Life Insurance. Owned by Genworth

I've done 25-30k so far this year and now I'm on top of the learning curve. The one year mark is the learning curve so I'm expecting big things from here on out.

My renewals this time next year will be bout $1000 a month.

Insurance is about having the right market and business model.

If you do it right after 4 years you can make a ton of money and come and go as you please. It's hard as hell and you don't make crap your first year. If you can make it 90 days I think you can make IMO.

Successful insurance sales can be sumed into 3 words....."See the People" ....if your not doing that you will fail.

No doubt. I have ran some crappy leads and still found something to sell when I didn't think there was a chance.

Getting in front of bodies is the deal. Qualified leads are nice though don't get me wrong.

Qualified leads, call in's, and referrals is the only marketing I have done. I ran some adds in local papers (bust) and done some direct mailers (barely broke even). This business is hard.....if you have lasted a year and still can get excited about what you do you have clearly found a home.

No doubt.

We pull Turning 65 list mostly and cold call them. It's a good target market to start with. I have had a fare share of referrals.

involving reoccuring commissions. Seems like you can make a lot of money if you are good at what you are doing.

There is something similar to recurring commission streams anyone can generate and they don't have to be in sales. It's called making/saving money, wise investments, and sitting on your azz collecting rent, interest and divvies. What's not to like.

I have an issue with my FIL's LTC. Those f-steins won't pay for a caregiver at home but will pay a higher dollar amount for nursing home or assisted living. He is too debilitated for assisted living, says no to a nursing home, and won't leave his house to move in with us so we could help him or at least monitor him. So, in effect, he threw away his money for 18-years. What a f'ing crock. Similar thing happened to my mother, who wants to go lay around in a death facility anyway?

I'm in and here to stay. I had one of my best weeks last week. It feels good.

Congrats. I had assumed that you would fail due to your incredibly limited intelligence. It's always nice to see an underdog succeed
