For short term goals should I sell now assuming that conflict is impending and therefore a loss of global confidence is forthcoming?

Bro, it's all good. Brandon told Putin to chill.

Unless China gets involved it shouldn’t affect us much. Might affect energy prices. Other than oil Ukraine and Russia don’t really add much to the world economy.
It might be good for stocks in any military defense contractors if the US sells equipment to Ukraine

Administration already fricked us (and Ukraine) by removing the sanctions against Russia allowing THEIR pipeline to move forward (bypassing Ukraine) making all of the EU dependent on them for energy, while simultaneously ending the Keystone pipeline here. And while I'm no oil and gas guy, I am pretty sure that pipelines are the most environmentally friendly way to transport oil.
The ole double whammy of stupid.
Aside from that, military conflict in Ukraine would not be good for the markets. The markets do not like uncertainty, and an armed conflict that has the potential to spread would certainly be that.

I would just have cash ready to buy if there is a sell off!
I did that with covid and the guy running around here telling EVERYBODY to sell it all off!
It's dropped... I never lost a share of what I owned, I more than doubled my positions and made a lot.

I could not remember his name. But yeah, even on the OT. He was telling everybody to go underground and shelter up..etc.
Reminded me of the show the 100 and the underground people.
The market goes up and it goes down. Buy the low, sell the high, hold investments.
I held PRTY the whole way through Covid. I purchased a ton of PRTY at .48 and sold calls the whole way.
If you have the cash to purchase on a bad event, you will more than make money and come out with far more

Initial nosedive because
Then cooler heads will realize we aren't dependent on Ukraine for either our supply line or as a consumer market, and it will rebound.
