Nokia
But aren’t they going to be making the phones themselves?

I’m looking for the companies that are contributing to the design/production of the 5G network

nokia doesnt make phones anymore

the answer to yuor question would be radio manufactures like nokia, erricson, huawai

another way to play it would be to own companies like crown castle, which owns tons of fiber

So many companies are in the 5G space you really need to look at the best companies, i.e., it’s not like EV was last year and everything went up just because it was EV. The chip makers are Qualcomm Qorvo and Xilinx. The usual chip players also have space in 5G like Texas Instruments, Marvell, Broadcom, Intel, and Texas Instruments. You can also look at fiber optics, like Corning. Towers like SBA and Crown Castle may also get a boost. Dish Network is also going heavily on 5G.

There are just so many areas of 5G to look that it’s difficult to say any one of those are going to be huge breakouts. 5G is also not gaining traction in Europe or the US nearly as quickly as it has in Asia. We will eventually catch up, but it is not being demanded by customers yet like it was expected to be.

IIVI - think old school Lucent in its heyday (1990’s), in fact the leadership is a ton of legacy Lucent guys

And they have another division that specializes in Lasar beams, every portfolio needs laser beams

And they just bought coherent

I just got on GLW. They wouldn't benefit directly from 5G but would benefit from increased demand for electronics.

CORNING INC.
Corning, Inc. develops and manufactures specialty glass and ceramics. It provides glass for notebook computers, flat panel desktop monitors, display televisions, and other information display applications; carrier network and enterprise network products for the telecommunications industry; ceramic substrates for gasoline and diesel engines in automotive and heavy duty vehicle markets; laboratory products for the scientific community and specialized polymer products for biotechnology applications; advanced optical materials for the semiconductor industry and the scientific community; and other technologies.

No, they don't do phones.

That is what Nokia does.
