Interested in what you look for when researching a stock. How you differentiate between pertinent information and how you ultimately decide what’s a buyer and what isn’t. I’ve seen many company’s that I think should go off based on some new product or news (looking at you AUPH) that either stagnates or falls. What’s the tricks?

One of these days fundamentals - whether that be modern measures or traditional ones - will matter.

Until then you do as castor suggested above.

Patience and valuation. I find swing trading is the most effective for amount of time and resources available to me right now.

Fundamentals matter in the long run. In the short term the market is irrational. You're looking to take advantage of the market underestimating current or future value.

Or you can try trading the hype but you gotta be faster than the algos.

Good DD is easy enough to spot though, it'll feature business numbers and explanations from conference calls on internal metrics they're watching thst are important to the company. Also might highlight resume and past accomplishments of the executive team so you know what kinda strategies they might employ.

It will be light on things like cup and handle forming, head and shoulders pattern forming after the knees and toes pattern or whatever mumbo jumbo people see on their screens.
