I bought my wife a 2017 Yukon with 100k mile warranty a few months ago. We financed $55,000 for 60 months. Sale price was $69,000 minus $17,000 down payment. Car payment is $1,193 + $167 for insurance. We are paying $1,360 a month for her Yukon but it does ride nice on the highway.
This is what bad financial decision making looks like money board

That dude is paying $277 a month in interest. Holy shite. That’s more than my last car note

Nice! MBB? Do you see yourself doing it long term, or is it more of a 2-yr stint and then get out?

you can get a nice gmc/ford for 40K +TTL
Most people just want the denali/platinum trims
In the late 90s the extra options were basically leather and 4x4

ETA: To be honest I think we are in over our head. After the first of the year I’m going to try and trade it in on a mid size suv to get out from under these payments
How much do you and your wife make per year? Depending on that and what you do in terms of your other investments/retirement etc. your payment might still be well within reach.

My wife is a stay at home Mom and I make about $50k in a sales position working from home.

A lot of people lease. I don’t think I’ll ever lease but for some people it’s worth it. It’s the people who lease to be able to drive something they can’t afford. Definition of a dumbass. $750 plus for a car note is ridiculous. Wife and I pull in 175K plus and can not fathom spending that much for 1 vehicle plus whatever insurance would be.

The payment on our 16 Tahoe is less than half that.

Yeah. You and your wife should be riding the bus with me.

I agree we made a mistake. I’m hoping the dealership recognizes the mistake we made and will make it right by giving us a good number on trade

Let me guess you live in a single wide trailer and you and your wife are “legally” separated to benefit from government assistance.
I honestly think you are trolling the shite out of everyone. No one is that dumb.

You probably had a huge down payment. The 15s I see selling with 45000 miles sell for 47K, which is ridiculous.

I honestly do not know how you were approved for financing which leads me to believe this is a troll.
Usually they will not lend you financing if your monthly note I believe is greater than 25-30% of your income.
At 50,000, your income is $1,923 bi-weekly pre-tax.

My wife is a sales rep for advocare, scentsy, & regularly has child clothing parties at our home, the loan officer took that into account

In all fairness I've seen Bossier's ride it is a nice looking vehicle!

It's all relative to the amount of income you make.

I got a brand new Tundra SR5 CrewMax 2 years ago for ~$35K. Sticker price was ~$42K.
