Hammer, meet nail. I've never seen some so interested in a financial situation, that they (supposedly) have no financial interest in. I'm starting to think we have a few here that bought a bunch of puts, and are too ashamed to admit it. Only thing that makes sense. Denial post in 3.......2.........1......

Thats from 2/23 and has a bunch of outdated or incorrect information. Like this:

However, the possibility of an AMC short squeeze is certainly possible given that it is still the most shorted stock in the market.

Most shorted stocks...where's AMC?

quote:

And, by restricting certain brokerage accounts from allowing its retail investors to purchase or buy shorted stocks (Robing hood)

This is not true. The hedge funds had nothing to do with the trading freeze, and that issue has since been fixed.

Because that's what they said at the congressional hearing? Hey, you want to buy some beach front property in Tennessee?

*Key Highlights
AMC closed at $9.02 on March 24th. The stock was seeing gains its previous week but has since then come down from $14. Analysts are predicting this might be the drop before a squeeze.

Fox reported AMC to have a strong chance of a short squeeze.

Good Lord! Are you a 15 y/o? Never heard of averaging down, huh?

Averaging down from $1000 to a nearly 10,000 share position is ballsy as hell. You’re a crazy mofo, but hopefully you’re rewarded.

So the majority of it is outdated but apparently they updated with the quoted part. Curious what legitimate analysts are predicting this is the drop before a squeeze. Also, I was unaware that a drop was common before a squeeze.

I noticed you didn't respond to my link showing it's nowhere near the most shorted stocks, which that blog claimed.

ETA: The great part about this is we will actually see. I haven't seen anything legitimate that there is any kind of short squeeze in play here.

He already addressed that. Supposedly, it's naked shorts.

If an AMC short squeeze doesn’t occur, AMC stock price will still go up allowing shareholders to either break even or have made at least some sort of profit. With AMC opening up it’s inevitable that the company will begin to see bigger sales revenue. Keep in mind that AMC’s share price during the booming party economy of 16' was roughly around $30 per share.

How can y’all take this stuff seriously? When AMC was $30 in 2016 they had less than 25% of the outstanding shares they have today.

In other words, you owned 4x more of the company with every share then than you do now. That same 4x on today’s price would be a $44 stock. That’s higher than AMC has ever been in its history as a publicly traded company.

If you don’t want to trust other sources because of hedge fund influences, that’s one thing, but how on earth can you trust this kind of blatantly misleading BS too?

AMC is quite the social experiment.

Someone can correct me, but naked shorts would be included in those numbers. Any shorting activity is done via contracts that are tracked and rolled up.

That said, if I'm wrong about that I'd love to know.

Also, naked shorting would not be specific to AMC but would be something that can be done on any stock.

His insider holdings number is incorrect by a factor of at least 3x. Fintel’s count of Wanda is off by 130MM shares, for example.

Do real DD guys. Find the source data with the SEC. It is all filed there. AMC in their 10K said Wanda owned 44MM shares as of 3/1.

ETA - The majority of his data is incorrect and/or misleading. The OTC report he's using is the January 2021 monthly report. It has nothing to do with current price action. There were 2B shares exchanged in January. That's that. Also, determining whether those trades are short or long is impossible.

Imagine putting $100k into AMC based on that kind of research.

Weekly OTC Non-ATS volume trend for AMC:

2/1 - 679.0MM
2/8 - 264.5MM
2/15 - 128.6MM

Weekly volume came down substantially after the squeeze in January. Shocker, I know. The data on the OTC transparency website has a 4 week delay for a stock like AMC. Using it to discuss current price action is futile.

The seemingly on again, off again correlation with GME is interesting to watch. AMC lagging a bit so far today vs GME.
