quote:So, 3.2 million retail shareholders have been day trading this stock all week? Sold Monday, bought back in Tuesday, bought and sold again today? Ridiculous!
I think it’s much more likely that retail is selling while telling people they’re holding than the idea that there is hundreds of millions of fake shares out there.

If you had to guess, of the 351.1M that’s traded today, retail was responsible for _____% ?

Your money, but I'd suggest you do what greygoose does and continue to preach hold to everyone but then sell some yourself.

Brother, this stock isn’t going anywhere but down. You’ve got to start planning your exit. The product they offer is something people can do in their own homes. Movie buffs will still go to the theaters, but AMC and movie chains don’t have exclusive rights to big picture releases anymore.
Your expectations for what this stock is going to do is based on hopes and prayers at this point.
Check out this little gem I had bookmarked!
AMC closed at $9.36 on 4/1. I'm no math genius, but isn't that a 100% gain since then?
(Note to self: Do not take stock advice from CollegeFBRules. Also, steer clear of following Chitstain's example on buy puts.)

Didn’t say that at all. Sure folks are holding, but you don’t get 682MM shares traded in the last 3 days without a shite ton of retail selling too.
Look at the volume for AMC in general - very light on down days and astronomical on up ones. Rinse and repeat. FOMO.

Would be very difficult to put that kind of number on it, but logically there aren’t 680MM shares available over the last 3 days without a lot of retail profit taking happening. If they own the majority of the float, like they preach, then they’re doing the majority of the selling too.

I hope you're right, but I wouldn't put much stock (pun not intended) into it. Just be happy with a 20% plus day today!

the 6/2 share recount should expose all the naked shorts and synesthetic shares

Do you all just blindly believe every post that supports your belief without questioning it? I think there's a name for that phenomena where you look for and only believe things that reinforce a hope or belief. Because my first thought reading that is, how does he know that?

So AMC is going to $100, at a minimum, obviously, but shorts haven’t gotten the memo.

I mean he posted a tweet from ortex, a reputable company that does market modeling amongst other things. It’s not like he posted a tweet from a dude named poonpounder6969 saying “AMC TO DA MOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Why don’t you fill me in on what I’m missing? Ortex knows who is selling?
