I'm a professional service provider. In the past, 100% of my business came from referrals. Those are the people I want. My business has a 5 star google review. I'm staring to get new clients who google my profession and see the five star review. Most of these people don't understand the service I provide nor do they want to pay for it. I don't want to waste my time with them. They aren't profitable and cause too much stress. Obviously, I could just have my secretary ask where they heard form us and politely decline appointments from people who found us on google. She has enough to do and I'd rather she not spend time screening phone calls. Does anyone know how to keep your website from showing up on google?
TL/DR How do I not show up on google?

Outside of that, call google.
I’m sure there is a service that they can charge you to not show up

Same here, especially the not paying.

I do something similar...I just quote the Google people higher fee, more up front...the few that still hire me, the extra $$$ makes up for the extra hassle with having them as clients (I call it a PITA tax)
ETA: I am also constantly being contacted by people offering to increase my website's ranking on Google searches. I sometimes respond to them asking if I could hire them to decrease my ranking so I don't show up on Google searches.

This is pretty fascinating. Never thought of/heard about this.

You can ask Google to "no index" your site. Ask the IT/Tech team that manages your website to do this, they should be able to figure it out pretty easily.
All kinds of companies "no index" various webpages on their site that they don't feel are applicable to Google searches - like internal portals, tools, etc.
You can also manage your "Google My Business" profile, which is the card that appears on the right side of pages w/ your address, website, star rating, etc. You may want to delete your profile, but it will make ppl (legitimate clients you would want and the clients you don't want) to contact/find you.
There's a whole industry of "Search Engine Optimization (SEO)" companies whose entire job is to increase google/bing visibility, as that will generally result in more customers/traffic. You are basically taking an anti-SEO approach.

I'll ask about that. I do want to show up if someone googles my name if they need my phone number or email address.

I get emails every day trying to get me to sign up for their SEO service. I have clients who spend thousands of dollars a month on something that I get for free and don't want.
