GameStop shares are trading higher on continued momentum as the stock gains popularity among retail investors on Reddit's WallStreetBets forum.

The statement isn’t wrong but WSB lacks the power to keep this thing moving at this point. I like the respect being given by TDA though

Fair enough, but he had a vision and implemented it successfully. If he has a conviction to do it again I'm going to go out on a limb and put a few eggs in that basket.
I agree and I don't want to discount what he did especially given his age. I just a have a couple friends that have been with CHWY since 2016-ish and the impression I get from them is that Sumit has been much more the guy leading things over the years

Cohen did a lot of good things with CHWY but the current CEO Sumit has done equal if not more for them. Cohen has had absolutely nothing to do with the company since 2018.
Yes but Cohen has a specific set of ideas here that he’s proven he can execute through Chewy and he has himself and two key members with him to assist with those changes for GameStop. The sale to PetSmart and the subsequent IPO have been huge for Chewy’s valuation, but Cohen set the company up for long term success and believes the same model can work for GameStop, which is already cash flow positive and working towards a turnaround. Cohen is adding expertise at e-commerce, customer service, customer retention, and high margin revenues. GameStop needs a ton of help with the e-commerce aspect specifically, it’s something they’ve lacked but making great strides now

Cohen is expertise here, not a trained CEO like Sumit. That guy’s been groomed to be a CEO for a while

Tomorrow am at 11:30 EST Citron will livestream the 5 reasons GameStop $GME buyers at these levels are the suckers at this poker game. Stock back to $20 fast. We understand short interest better than you and will explain. Thank you to viewers for pos feedback on last live tweet
Just saw a tweet on this, $20 share price represents $1.4B market cap. That’s GameStop’s e-commerce revenue alone, which is still lagging hard behind its in store revenue. Citron just pulling numbers out of its arse

from the "why is it moving" text on TDA:
Seems very cheap for a big broker to give credit for the movement to a message board. I think that shows that the squeeze is in full effect. Seems like the big boys are trying to down play this.
