I took a significant position at $23 yesterday.

Word on the street is Roaring Kitty closed a substantial portion of his calls. I guess we’ll see when open interest is disclosed tomorrow.

Does not sound like it was Roaring Kitty who closed out his positions but rather someone else. Stock is rebounding tonight after hours.

Gill closed at least some of his positions yesterday. Open interest this morning is around 112,000 in the June 21 $20 calls, which is less than Gill himself was holding a couple days ago. I believe open interest yesterday was around 170,000. Gill may have closed out a substantial portion in order to raise the cash necessary to exercise the remaining shares, but he closed out some nonetheless.

He could have done a hell of a lot better if he'd sold options last week during the big run-up. And I say this as someone with experience holding too long in a situation like this and missing out on a shitload of money.
He either didn't anticipate the ATM, which he probably should have seen coming, or was worried about legal issues so waffled on selling options to convert and missed taking advantage of the big pump.
