Give me a Republican like David Sacks any day of the week over some of the nut jobs that the Republicans put up as candidates this cycle. In correcting for where the left was headed, I feel the right went too far and over corrected and their candidate choice reflected that.

My guess is the middle 60% of thr country agrees on most things. It's the 20% on either end that is the problem.

Sacks would never run. He’s already wealthy and he wouldn’t want to go through the political grinder and be made out to be a villain for being a conservative. He can effect elections through money and influence

I’ll add in that I think candidate choice is hamstrung by the way GOP candidates in particular are character assassinated and made into villains. This is purposely being done by the left to reduce the candidate pool on the right to take away the top candidates from running

If fear.of character assassination was the issue, we wouldn't be stuck with clowns like Oz and Walker. The Republican party has done a poor job vetting candidates and weeding out during primaries.

Damnit, why am I engaging. First the OT now MT is devolving into PT lite.

Like I said, character assassination weeds out the best candidates. The GOP is then left to sort through the scraps that don’t care about character assassination

This is the problem with primaries and political parties.
