Yes there is a way. People trade in vehicles all the time with loans still on them. Those people don’t have titles. The salesman should be able to handle it

Yes, if their is still a loan on the vehicle, the dealership works directly with the bank to get the title transferred. However in my case, the bank already released the title to the DMV in which they would then mail to me. We are in the limbo period where the bank is no longer involved and the DMV may or may not have put the title in the mail.

I do plan on calling the DMV tomorrow to check.

The dealership can work around that to get a deal done. Whether it be ordering a duplicate title or having you fill out a Power of Attorney

might be electronic title and can be delivered very quickly. Bring it up to the dealkershiop. They can make out happen.

Do I need physical title to my vehicle to trade in at a dealership? by BlueChips
I paid off my car last week. Was planning on purchasing a new one next week (yes I know, better to keep a paid off vehicle). I need a vehicle with better gas mileage for work

You probably already know this, but a paid off vehicle should be less expensive than a new vehicle with better gas mileage.

If you want a new vehicle, go for it. It’s your money. But I certainly wouldn’t want a new vehicle where I tote the note for the company’s benefit, even if you get a monthly reimbursement or allowance.

Yes. It's simple. Use your gender preference before the name of your vehicle on the paperwork, Mr.,Mrs., X., etc.
