Any Walk-In MRI Places on the Northshore?

Posted by BlueChips on 10/13/25 at 10:54 am
Doctor ordered a MRI for a lower back issue I have. Insurance won't cover it without 8 weeks of PT first. Was wondering if there are any places that you can pay cash for an MRI like a walk in clinic. Buddy of mine in Texas has a bunch that offer $175 MRIs. I'd much rather go this route than paying $1k+ trying to hit my insurance deductible.
Will Catholic school's be on the hook to contribute to this as well? I foresee a lot of tuition increases if so

Mandeville/Covington Golf Memberships

I'm trying to improve my lackluster golf game and it is difficult paying for lessons and then having no place to practice what I am taught. The lack of public golf ranges in this area is frustrating. I'm interested in knowing what it costs to join TCC or Beau Chene as a single. I assume initiation fee + monthly dues? What do the dues cover in terms of golf rounds/range fees? Any info is apprecaited.
I think he forgot about this thread - I haven't gotten the copy

I have no traditional IRA currently. My plan was to open one on Fidelity to send the $7k to and then move that $7k over to my Roth IRA on fidelity
Do I have this process correct: I can contribute $7,000 to a traditional IRA. Wait 1 day. Then move (convert) that $7,000 to a Roth IRA. From there I can do whatever I want with the $7,000 that I moved from the traditional to Roth.

Is that accurate?

I used the needles that came with the prescription - they are 31g 5/16". Length was perfect but I guess the gauge was too small because it took about 90 seconds for the vacuum to pull enough solution into the syringe. It also took a while for me to squeeze all the solution into my stomach and the shaky hand caused some pain.

So I definitely will need what is being recommended here (larger gauge to withdraw then changed out to smaller gauge for the injection). Can anyone link me to the exact product that I should be buying? I am such a novice when it comes to this stuff

I've never purchased any type of medical supplies before and know nothing about it. Would you be able to link me some examples about what you suggest so I know exactly what I am to look for?

For example, you say 1" needles to draw and then 1" will give you enough pressure to push. Isn't draw and push 2 separate actions?

I may be starting the TRT journey in January. Just shipped my bloodwork off to Maximus Health this week and the doc will be reviewing with me next week to discuss protocol. I went with Maximus because I know my insurance won't cover it. I was ~550 last year

So question to the experts - I effing hate needles. The injections are subQ which I've heard is better than IM. I've seen plenty of folks recommend 27g 1/2 needles. Is that a good number for someone that is very scared of the injection aspect of this? I know I will get used to it over time, just nervous on the front end. Anything else I can do to make the process a little easier?

Also, where should I be ordering my injection supplies from? Amazon?

Are all of yall injecting into stomach or does TRT need to be in a muscle? Also, what size needles are yall using?
As I understand it, 8% of a teacher's paycheck is taken out and after 30 years they get 100% of their salary in retirement.

What is someone wants to retire at say 15 years. Do they recoup any of that 8% that they have put in over those 15 years?

Just noticed it today and snapped some pics. Unfortunately they haven't responded to my inquiry yet on this Fathers Day. However, I'd like to know what is the standard before I engage in a conversation with them

Where to go to shop for auto rates?

Posted by BlueChips on 5/1/24 at 8:32 pm
Haven't shopped auto rates before - usually took the 0% or 0.9% that dealerships were offering as incentives. I have excellent credit so I'm just looking for the lowest rate at this point. Where should I start?

This is the way, but we have too many ignorant people who listen to the radical left NGOs and think carbon capture will kill the fish in their lakes.
Looking for a good quality side of beef, my garage chest freezers are empty and ready. I searched and saw recommendations for Segrera in Ethel. Any others out there that you have experienced?
Looking for a recommendation for the upcoming tax filing season. Preferably Northshore area but New Orleans/Baton Rouge would work as well.
