Doesn't this site (and other free sites) have income limits?
Possibly. Not sure if that limit would be applicable in OP situation.

I always look at paying an accountant for the extra licensed signature on my taxes as more protection from Audit.
May or not be the case, but I’d think they(IRS) would look into people who do their own taxes before they look into someone with a professional with a license they could lose or be fined if done incorrectly.
My 2 cents

I normally pay for TurboTax Premium. This year in my Fidelity account on the main summary page, there was a link to get TurboTax for free this year. I think they only provided that for some of their customers. I trade a lot so maybe that's why they offered it to me. Anyway, I clicked the link and opened TurboTax through the link, did my taxes and both Federal and State were free when I submitted. So if you have a Fidelity account and use TurboTax, check your Fidelity main summary page and scroll down to see if you have the free TurboTax advertisement and link.

Turbo Tax is notorious for unchanging for things you likely don't need. If you're careful what you select it can be cheaper. Other tax software is less bait and switch.
I paid nothing for freetaxusa
