Disputed cable bill and collections

I had a cable charge over 5 years ago that I disputed and then terminated the account.
I fought the cable company for over 2 years out of principle about the charge.
They turned it over to collections recently and I am getting phone calls non stop about this disputed charge.
Roughly $200, so nothing crazy, but curious what the long term impact, other options to contest the charge, forget about it, or swallow my pride and settle with the collection agency?

Cable companies are the WORST at service and billing

Louisiana Public Service Commission regulates cable companies. IF you can get in touch with someone that will help you they can squash this real quick. Cable companies do not want to cross them.

They are likely violating Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), familiarize yourself with it. They aren’t allowed to harass you.

I am familiar with it.
All calls are within the allowed times.
Seems like a lot for $200 from 5 years ago.

Number I've heard is $.10-$.20 on the dollar.
