Take a look at Voyager, Celcius, Blockfi, Crypto.com.

All of these are superior to Coinbase in my humble opinion.

First, what platform are yall using to trade with?

Coinbase Pro - an offshoot of the regular Coinbase website. Much cheaper fees than regular coinbase, same login. I hate CB customer service but the Pro platform has roped me back in

Cash app - easiest to use, moderately higher fees than Coinbase Pro

Gemini - very good exchange, fees in between CB Pro and Cash App.

Second. After doing some research I wonder how they are so many people that are certain it can't be hacked.

No exchange is hack proof. Store your coins offline in a cold storage wallet. I hold ~1% of my funds on exchanges. Everything else is on a Nano or Coldcard

I get the premise that there is thousands of computers but wouldn't a time activated trojan be able to infiltrate the whole system?

If you are talking bitcoin network then no. If you are talking exchange, then sure. No exchanges are 100% safe.

Coinbase pro. Also Sofi allows you to buy some of the bigger names but you’re not gonna find stuff like doge lol.

Just use Kraken. Buy Polkadot and stake it. You’ll thank me later.

Download Edge wallet and buy crypto. Buy a Trezor and move it from your Edge to your Trezor, so you have full control of it.

I’d suggest studying more about blockchain technology. It could really be the future.

Tokenized equities

It’s coming.

Also just for fun, look at this link. Blockchain Mortgages.

Plenty of general blockchain explanations there also.

If one believed that blockchain might be the future but that same one was also extremely risk-averse, would the safe way to get in on the action be to invest in something like Square rather than jumping into a particular altcoin directly?

Yes. Or PayPal. Or something like MicroStrategy is a little more aggressive but still “a stock”.
