Yes you can cancel the SW within 30 days and still receive the anny bonus and get refunded the annual fee. Although the amount of points is close to equivalent to the cash value, makes sense to at least get the SW points.

Awesome. Can’t believe they let that happen, but I will do that.

Other card companies are looking like they have some version of 5/24 (different number of course) or inquiry limits.
It becomes a little dance. Since my wife and I have probably 14 Chase cards among us I'm open season on other Banks as I draw down my Chase portfolio. Starting to hit Amex now.

That's pretty odd for sure.

I'm going to try for another Chase Ink Preferred card, this time for my wife. I have 2 myself already but I actually have 2 legit side gigs. She doesn't have any.
Any suggestions on what I can say she does on the side?

I recently got a Chase Ink Preferred card and I don't have a business. It's my first Chase card.
I put Retail: Nonstore Retail/Used Merchandise Stores/Used Merchandise Stores. For income I put $1,000 and 1 year in business. Called the automated line the next morning and was approved.
Are your side gigs under an EIN? If so, you should be able to apply two more times under your SSN. One with full name including middle name and one with full name minus middle name.

My wife and I both have CSR's, and a Freedom card in both our names.
If we wanted to get rid of her CSR And get her a CSP, could we do that? What happens to your Chase account when you close your only card and then try to get another card, do they leave your account with no cards open or do you have to create a new account?
And if you close the CSR and apply for the CSP, do you have to let a certain amount of time go by before doing so?

I think the only way to do that would be too product change from the CSR to the CSP.

I'd imagine they close your entire account if you don't get that other car before you close your account.

I think it's like 48 months now to wait in between applying for those cards.
Here's an article on it. LINK

Both are under SSN. I don't really want to risk anymore on my name. Not to mention I just got my 2nd one just 40 days ago.
Appreciate the tip on how you applied.

Ok well you're already set the max for that one. You can still get the Ink Unlimited and Ink Cash If you hadn't already. Be sure to send her your referral code for the Ink Preferred.

No doubt. Got the 20k referall on my most recent CIP by self referring.

Yup and you can’t currently have another Sapphire product at the time you apply for the other...
Chase are being real harasses these days.
Will be interesting to see how it plays out long term.

If you have a freedom card can't you transfer her points to that before canceling the CSR. Or better yet just transfer them to your CSR card since you are keeping it open.

Need some help with my scenario:
In the last 9 months I got a “Chase Business Preferred Ink” card with 80,000 bonus points for a business I run, and then a “Chase Sapphire Preferred” for expenses that are reimbursed for a position where I am an independent contractor for another company.
First question:
- how do I combine those points and what is the most effective use for using them for travel?
Second question:
- I am thinking about having my wife apply for another credit card for our monthly household expenses (groceries, entertainment, etc.) to rack up points to combine with the above two cards. What card and strategy would y’all suggest?

Transfer you ink posts to the sapphire card in the rewards portal. There is a button that says combine points.
Be sure to move the ink points to CSP and not vice versa because CSP reimburse for travel at a 1.25 rate.

Another business preferred ink card. Be sure to refer her. 20k to you for the referral, 80k to her once she hits minimum spend. $1,250 value once you transfer those points to your CSP account. For a $95 annual fee.

Transferring Ultimate Rewards Points Between Accounts
I transfer points to airlines. Some use the Chase portal.

How often can you open cards for each of us in chase and can you close accounts eventually to stop getting charged the annual fee, but move the points along to one of the other cards?
Also, I believe the Chase Business Ink showed a 1.25 per point when I was playing around with the value and looking at booking through them.

There are limits but it doesn't sound like you are close yet so I wouldn't worry. I think it's 5 cards in 24 months per individual but I'm not sure if the business cards count.

Oh it may. I have the CSR which is 1.5 so I transfer all of my reward points to that card. I must have forgotten the ink redeemed at 1.25.
