Seriously, take 4 mins from your day to read instead of assuming everything is some political plot.

Like worrying that CPI was going to " magically move to 1.9%" this morning?

But if you were serious you would know 1.9% isn’t even possible. Thats his point.

Yeah no shite. That was my point…if Trump had it his way, he’d report something unattainable.

No, your point was that it was absolutely going to happen (maybe not 1.9%, but something nearly as ridiculous). Yours and the hand-wringing talking heads you referred to earlier.

Yet here we are with inflation holding steady, the sun still rising in the east, setting in the west and birds still singing... despite the TDS doom and gloom from Trump having fired someone who was failing at their job.

You really need some self evaluation of your character.

Your hatred of Trump and conservatives clouds your arguments and personal goals.

There is no evidence that Powell has been too late.

My guess is we get a drop at next meeting because the data continues the recent trend. We should always have multiple months of data before making changes.

Inflation isn’t. That ship has sailed. The rate of inflation is slowing though.
_______

Prices on everything are high. How did they get there if inflation is not real?

The rate has generally been slowing. It will reverse trend as the tariffs have time to show up in the data.

No one said inflation wasn’t real. He responded to a poster that said it didn’t feel like inflation was coming down (deflation). He said it isn’t coming down, but the rate of inflation had and was slowing.

Also, the poster he responded to went Costco, but filled his gas tank up at 7-11. He may be paying a stupid tax on top of inflationary prices.
