Anyone else having trouble with the 1.5 point statement balance?

Are you just trying to redeem points for a statement credit? Because if so, you won’t get the 1.5 value, and will get 1:1. I believe you have to go to the actual “Pay Yourself Back” feature and redeem through that to get the 1.5 value.
Go to your Ultimate Rewards account. At the top left corner of the page, click on the menu and a list of items will come up on the left. Scroll down that list to “Pay Yourself Back” and click that. Through that portal, it will list your eligible purchases and you can click on them to apply your points against them for statement credit at 1.5 value.
I have done this both on the app and on my laptop, so it should be available to you either way

Thanks. Got it figured out. Cost me 15k in a statement credit before I saw your post

Thanks for this. I had been hoarding points to take a big trip with a 1.5x redemption (even though deep down I knew this was stupid in case of deflation). But I just cashed 140000 points for $2100 statement credit. I’m not savvy enough to do exchanges with airline partners and maximize value, so I know this is the best I’m capable of. Thanks! I still have 50,000 points to use eventually.

15k points or $15k dollars...?
The latter would be an F ton of points
The former you threw away $75

15k points. I got the statement credit for 30k. Would have gotten the extra 15k if I had used it correctly. Not a ton of money but I would rather it my pocket.

This is a really nice benefit, kudos to chase for doing it
I'm honestly surprised they can afford to do it but I guess they are hoping most people don't realize its available.

Also get Lyft Pink for free with the Reserve. Saves 15% on Lyft but also gives you priority order on reservations which has been huge as they have a driver shortage.
