Has the same airport problem, unless they don't mind the fact it is a 30 minute flight to DFW and HOU. I love those flights.

Thats why I said earlier they'd have to renovate the airport. Current front runner with DFW a strong second thanks to the logistics, airport, and ton of FCs scattered around the area. Flagship building is in DFW with another on the way.
Anything else would be a dark horse with a too good to be true incentive package.
Take it with a grain of salt, just what ive heard.

Ya, Austin as a city is 11th in size but about 35 in metro. However, growth projections to 2040 have that moving up to somewhere around 21 in metro populations (overtaking San Antonio in the process).
If that turns out to be true, then even with the run ups Austin has had in the last 20/30 years, it still has room to run. With that comes expanded services of all types.
Guess the question would be if Amazon wants to grow with the city or stake its claim to one already established.

New Orleans can't even keep its citizens dry from an afternoon rainstorm and you're here trying to push us as having a shot at Amazon? The S&WB will NOT stand for this progress!!!

As others have stated, NOLA has no shot because of crime and schools.

Amazon also has a MASSIVE distribution facility in that area.
Amazon has 1 million SF fulfillment centers in most major cities along with sort and delivery station warehouses. That makes zero difference in the 2HQ decision.
I think all the usual suspects have been listed-Boston, D/FW, Austin, Atlanta, NC, Nashville, Chicago...
A big dark horse would be Detroit. A formally great American city that has been hollowed out since the race riots of the late 60's and the decline in importance of the Big 3 auto makers. Amazon comes in and restores Detroit-a genuine American hero story.

I could really see KC being a top 5 option. That city is really booming.
