Seriously, I crush Alt and Derivitives. Are you taking the CFA mocks or stalla/schwesher mocks?

P.S. DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE ETHICS!! They will ask butt fricking rediculous questions on the test.

CFA Mock. My score was 81.11% on the mock, which I feel pretty good about, but I can't imagine the test is going to be that easy.

From that statement, I take it this is not your first time taking level 1? How would you say that the real test stacks up to the mock?

Thanks for the heads up. The mock section on ethics was a joke. You aren't the first person to warn me not to fall into that trap. I assume they are get a lot trickier.

The real test is MUCH harder than the mocks. With that being said, I took it last year and studied my arse off. After the morning session I walked out and said to myself, "there's no way I'm going to fail this"...then came the afternoon session. About halfway through I was so frustrated that I wanted to leave.

It was like giving up a 30 point halftime lead it was so much harder than the morning .

If you guys are in the 80s on the mock exams I would say you have a good shot. That's where I was and based on my score band I was right on the borderline, but I failed. Couldn't bring myself to go through all that pain again...that's why I moved to the marketing side.

Good luck!

I was really feeling pretty good up until this statement.

How much IFRS material is on the test? I'm thinking about just skipping it in my review. It doesn't seem to be worth the time.

I wouldn't spend too much time on anything that is not an integral section. Ethics will be VERY tricky, it seems easy but trust me they can bring it into the gray area quickly. Focus on this and FSA. These two sections will make or break you.

I felt ok with all sections except for Economics. Pretty sure I was below 40% and that was probably my demise. Again, I was so close that is was like a kick in the balls when i failed...I've tried to block out that whole period of my life!

I feel ya. I'd rather fail miserably (which I did on level II last year) than be right on the brink of passing.

How did it go for you guys? I felt pretty good about it.

P.S. BamaatLSU, I am pretty sure that I was a couple seats in front of you.

You over studied like a motherfricker for Level I. If these numbers are correct, I'll bet you passed.

I felt really good after the morning, but I failed the afternoon session miserably.

I was actually sitting on the front row. I was in the room on the left, I assume you were in the room on the right b/c I think all level I guys were in there.

Good for you. If I pass, it'll be by the skin of my teeth.

Yeah, I really did. Everyone was telling me horror stories about how hard it was, it really wasn't bad.

Yeah, I am glad I didn't say anything to the guy that I thought was you.

You should ask one of the guys that works with you about how hard we all laughed before we took the afternoon part. You missed out on some grade-A humor.

I think one of the girls I work with was in your room. I'll ask her about it.
