But why gif

That is interesting. The ability too stream from phones, would hurt Sirius I would think.

Most new cars come with it, but renewal has to be dismal.

Probably a pending tech patent or being purchased, maybe for the contracts with auto dealers, etc

They also own pandora. Ad money and I think they dont pay as much or maybe even anything in royalties unlike the other streamers. They reverse stock split recently because their stock was in the shitter so overall the price of the stock is still dirt cheap

Maybe leverage this satellite communication network in another way? Can it be repurposed for broadband, in other words (I doubt it, but I'm brainstorming a "Why?" answer)?

I’m on a Sirius 24 month $3.99 per month plan. They add .85 cents royalty fee plus taxes each month.

Sirius pays about double what streaming services pay in royalty fees.

The Copyright Royalty Board judges have set the new royalty rates and terms for Sirius XM. The company will pay 15.5% of gross revenues for the period of January 1, 2018 through December 31, 2022. That’s a 40% increase from the 11% share Sirius XM has been paying for royalties.

I don’t know what the current royalty rate is for Sirius but I’m pretty sure the rate hasn’t decreased.

Yeah I’m an idiot. I was reading about them on Friday after their recent run up and completely misunderstood what they were saying obviously. Drunk diligence is a dangerous game

They cannot, SIRI sats are geostationary, which means they are fixed around the equator. These are not great for starlink which is low earth orbit, and like a swarm. The low earth orbit gives much better latency and throughput then geostationary, which would be considered "leagcy" satellite internet.
