I want to buy some XRP. Thinking about going through Bitstamp. Any recommendations?

Seems like these ripple exchanges are extremely slow. You got to send in photo id's and have them verify your account.

Tried to submit on Tuesday 12/12 and it's still taking time.

Hell when I tried to create an account, my confirmation email didn't even come through until 7 hours later.

Poloniex is my source.

I couldn't even get a verification email from Gatehub; that crap was moving slower than Poloniex

Bitstamp is easy. Can purchase directly with your card after verification process is complete.

XLM is a better investment. Find out more here

You can purchase either by buying any given coin on the Coinbase app, and then transferring LTC, BTC, or ETH to the Poloniex Exchange.

The Bitstamp verification process is extremely slow due to a surge of new accounts so if you want to purchase XRP any time soon I'd use Binance.

Just do the following:

1) Buy Litecoin on Coinbase
2) Send it to Binance
3) Buy Bitcoin using Litecoin
4) Buy Ripple using Bitcoin

What are people worried about?
I’ve done a round trip with polo once already.

this isn't necessarily just for you, because I don't know your level of involvement in crypto.

I see a lot of people asking about Ripple on here today, and just want to make sure everyone knows what realistic expectations are with Ripple.

There is money to be made there, no denying that, but anyone expecting it to be worth a lot of money are dreaming. Best case scenario is that it gets listed on Coinbase, where it could see momentary gains into the $4-5 range. There are simply too many coins, and it will never be a triple digit coin.

Withdrawals from the exchange can be a pain in the arse
They use user funds to fund their own trades

For either of you, can you send from polo directly to nano ledger?

Bee - why do you say that?

I think ripple is a great idea for the financial institutions.

I see promise not in the bitcoin side, but the Blockchain that was created of it. Wait until this crypto currency burst and we have all these great Blockchain applications spawn from it.

The same thing happened in the .com boom

It crashed and then what? We got Myspace, Facebook, Youtube, Tigerdroppings, ect....

I'm waiting for all the commercial applications and real world problems that the Blockchain technology is going to solve... not bit coin per say.

I own both XLM and XRP in the 1000s of each(not that that's a whole lot lol) but I still think XRP is the better short term play because of the not so well kept secret of it moving to CB eventually.

Because of the market cap.

Bitcoin has 16 million coins circulating, for example, compared to 38 billion for XRP. My math may be off on this but you get the point...if XRP were to get to $100, it's market cap would be likely 10x ish bigger than Bitcoin...which is just not going to happen.

XRP moving to Coinbase is still speculative, but what do you think would happen if a sub $1 coin hit Coinbase?? ...with the popularity of the app now.

Makes me think I should at least buy 200 XRP.
At one point I had many more
