I'm looking to get a credit card and start using it for everyday expenses. What is the best one to get for flight rewards? I'm new to this

Capital One Venture worked well for me. Got about $1,000 in a year just using it daily and paying it off weekly.

What are the annual fees? Do the rewards outweigh the fees?

Despite the downvotes, for me and the wife the benefits were worth it. We got the basic card, no annual fee.

Southwest visa. Get 2 . Spend 5000 each on them in January of next year. You will get a free companion pass. 110,000 points. You basically fly free for 2 years. It's hard to beat in my opinion.

For the most part I find that the best card is with whoever you fly the most with. So live in Houston- United, live near ATL- Delta.

I fly overseas for free every year. Just find the card with the best bonus, usually 50-60k, and get a card in ur name and spouse name to double up on the bonus. Cancel before annual fee is due. Rinse and repeat. It will not hurt ur credit despite what this boards says. I've done united explorer, chase Sapphire, and capital one. Then I just start back at the beginning. Ur welcome

Do this at the beginning of the year to maximize the time you have to use the companion pass. (the pass is good for the remainder of the calendar year where you earned the pass and the next calendar year). And you can get cards that have a lower spending limit than 5k.
