You can't send invites to usaa, unless of course upon receiving their email you send it to a military recruiter.

Isn't that almost fraudulent? I thought you have to have military family...

USAA now offers free checking and saving accounts to anyone.

Kinda like charging me a fee to pay my bill online. You can go screw yourself. I am saving you labor by paying my bill online.

If you only knew the expense of the systems that allow you to pay online...

I have come to appreciate it much more from work.

I spoke with the head of Capital One business banking in Louisiana and he basically said this: "Eventually all major banks will start charging fees for checking (if every bank does it, then why not us), but Capital One has always been a bank that waits the longest to make changes like this that negatively affect our customers"

I noticed something when I logged on to my Capital One checking account on-line. Transactions completed with my debit card used to be listed as "card purchases" and run through the visa/mastercard system. Those transactions are now listed as "ATM transaction", so it appears that Capital One (with whom I have been satisfied) may soon charge for debit card use.

Went to Neighbors Credit Union today. No fees period. Hell, they pay you 3% interest as long as you keep above a $300 balance if I understood the young lady I spoke with today. Went to Regions today and the teller basically wouldn't let me talk to a customer service rep. Bye Bye Regions.
