2 adults, 2017 AWD SUV and 2019 convertible Beetle, annual rate is currently $1,883 but gets re-priced every 6 months with State Farm, 250/500/100, 3.5M umbrella and additional 500k on home. Haven't had accidents or speeding tix in > 20 years. HO policy actually decreased this year after new roof and stucco. HO is $1,357 with .5% deductible, seems cheap to me.

$3.5M umbrella is a new high on the MTB.

Have to protect taxable assets outside of retirement accounts from ne'er do wells, of which there are plenty around here, $496/yr is a good deal but probably a big profit item for insurers.

How do you get a $1M umbrella policy?

For me, I simply asked for one through my insurance provider.

$3400 annually. Two new vehicles (truck and suv) and 250/500 liability, 100 UM. 1k deductible

This to me seems to be a great price for two vehicles. Btw an F150, and Lexus GX just got quoted over 6k annually

This is the most “I don’t live in Louisiana” post I think I’ve ever seen on the money board.

I’m very similar and I’m paying $2300/yr in LA. The difference between our premiums breaks down to using the GEICO Drive Easy program - basically an app that tracks our driving habits. Saves us about $1,100/yr.
