I was wondering if anyone on here owns one. Im trying to weight the option of buying my own ATM or letting a bank provide one for me. I hear they run around $2,500. There will be plenty of transactions at my business but I'm more concerned about the maintenance issue.
for a while I looked into getting one for a bar who's owner I was friends with in NYC.
the fact is that if you are not there all the time to stock it with cash, maintain it, fix it when its out of order. . . then you're better off googling "free atms" and getting one from a company that manages it completely and just gives you like 30 cents a transaction. (or something else minute but would nonetheless be passive income)

There is a company I deal with. You can purchase the machine ( a Triton) for around $3300, put your own money in and make $2.50 a transaction. You can opt to give them .25 cents per transaction and they fix/maintain any problems w/the machine. The money taken from the ATM is put in your checking within a day, weekends are put in on Mon/Tues. You receive a fee check at the end of the month. My machine paid for itself in 6 months. I haven't had a problem with the machine in 2+ years.....
