Anyone hearing rumors of a third round of PPP

It appears as if the SBA Portal has updated its language and I've seen reference to "PPP Round 3".

I think it's rumor at this point. If there is a PPP Round3 I'll be hearing from my banker in Texas about it.

The deadline to submit an application is coming, but I don't think they ran out of funds.
Not as many people qualified for the second round. You had to show a 25% quarterly loss in comparison to the same quarter the previous year.
So, I doubt there will be a third round.

If there is a third round I do think that qualifying will be even tighter. It would not surprise me if a third round is limited to businesses in economically disadvantaged areas. That's what they did with the latest round of EIDL grants.

I doubt there will be a 3rd round, but I agree it will be similar to the EIDL requirements. I also think you will have to show that you are still suffering 2020 Q4 or 2021 Q1 vs same time frames in 2019, and it will probably be equivalent to the EIDL standards; 50% or greater impact
