I don't know if any of you have this company on your radar.

Anyway, here's the trading history of AVXL's shares from Tuesday through today:

Date Open High Low Close* Adj Close** Volume
Feb 05, 2021 13.35 13.76 11.30 12.39 12.39 15,561,087
Feb 04, 2021 19.94 28.70 13.80 14.91 14.91 116,590,800
Feb 03, 2021 8.06 10.98 7.97 10.38 10.38 18,086,200
Feb 02, 2021 6.64 8.00 6.54 7.53 7.53 3,161,500

That, of course, is some wild, crazy trading! Right now, I guess the dust likely needs to settle, given the trading history of the stock set forth above. So, with the weekend to study all information available about AVXL, it's no telling how the shares will trade up or down on Monday.

I have only very superficial knowledge of this company (it has a clinical pipeline targeting various diseases including Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and Rett Syndrome) with the clinical trials in various stages.

Since we're at the weekend, some of you might want to do due diligence in regard to this company, if you find it interesting and can find the time to do so.

Here's a link to a November 2020 Corporate Presentation available on the company's website the anyone can look over (it includes the company's pipeline) and other information about the company:

LINK

Also, here's a link to the company's pipeline and status thereof at clinicaltrials.gov:

As I stated, I know very little about AVXL (and even less about speculative, clinical stage, small cap bios); and I have no opinion, as to whether or not the shares of AVXL should be bought or sold. I just figured maybe others on this site who might already be familiar with the company might be willing to share their thoughts and/or insights. Or, perhaps, some members on this site might find the company sufficiently interesting to do their due diligence in regard to the company over the weekend and arrive at whatever conclusions they might reach after studying the company.

Based on the trading of shares over the last three trading days, there obviously are investors who evidently find shares of AVXL interesting.

I hope it goes up a lot for you, wishing you the best of prosperity with AVXL and all your investments. FWIW, I purchased a few shares today at between 11.70 and 12.33.

Someone smart bought 3200 Feb 7.50 calls Tuesday afternoon vs OI of 1813 average price ~ 85¢. Just in time to catch the Thursday morning spike to $28.70.

Not sure if they exited the position completely. Today the OI stood at 2171, so you gotta figure they cashed out on some of them.

Thursday evening some options guy on Fast Money claimed that he saw a buyer of 10,000 Feb 20 calls purchased at $4.80, but I did not see that trade. There was no trade even close to that.
