Information source isn't public though, and you know that by virtue of the thread, so you'd end up in federal, PMITA, prison.

probably the easiest way to learn which company is to look at short activity.

as long as you aren't slinging OT money around, you should be ok.

Lets all make hypothetical bets on this. I'm buying the July 38 puts for $1.15. Everyone that I can buy.

I remember the CFO coming and talking to my ISDS class in CEBA. I thought it might be interesting, but all he did was harp on the fact that people didn't want to move to Monroe and how it really wasn't that bad, to the point that he was visibly bitter about it. I just thought it was odd, he seemed to think the problem was people's perception of Monroe, as opposed to possibly his perception of Monroe vis-a-vis the rest of the world.

Outside of Shaw/Entergy you're looking at:
- CenturyTel
- Albermarle
- Amedisys

I've always wondered why they never relocated out of Monroe. One of their top dogs has a nice house in Sterlington though. Think he bought the land across the street so that no one could build a house between him and the golf course.

yeah if i had to guess, I'm going centuryTel.

wasn't there supposed to be a merger between them and alltel? for some reason I remember a merger rumor...

No reason it can't be a private company. eta: not to mention this is totally dependent on a secret service agent's opinion of a "top Louisiana company."

That would explain why Graves started posting on here just recently.

There was rumor of them merging with Alltel but Alltel and VZW merged and Centurytel and some other company merged so that's why it's now called Centurylink.

There might have been.
CenturyTel (now CenturyLink Fwiw) ended up selling off their wireless communications portion of the business to AllTel.

So they sold off the spectrum they bought a few years ago? I couldn't remember what my friend told me about it. I have a few friends there so they told me a little bit about the merger/sell.
I'm kind of interested to see who is getting busted.

I havne't really followed it in forever. I only knew about portions from when I lived up there. You would know more about it than I do.
I just remember years ago they ended up selling the wireless communications to Alltell to focus on land applications mostly. I haven't really kept up with what they've down since then aside from the buying out of Qwest to become CenturyLink.
Maybe I need to consult Wikipedia to get my timeline back in order.

You remember when the 800 spectrum went up for sale? I'm pretty sure Centurytel bought some.
I worked there about 3-4 years ago. A lot has changed since then. Maybe I should email my friend and ask him if knows anything....keep the MT in the know.
