Whats yalls thoughts on 529 College Savings Plans ? Need to start saving for my son's education and after talking to a few people this seams like the best option. Curious to what yall think about these plans or is there a more efficient way to save for college with pretty decent returns. Thanks.....

They are good plans. Some states have better ones than others, so some research there is needed.
They do have some issues with regards to flexibility of the money in them outside of college use, but overall they are good plans.
ETA: hist the search function and you will found some good discussion on them.

This is like the 5th thread in 5 days on this. I don't care for the state plans that I've investigated. various 529 plans work for your income, investment style, and goals. I went with a Coverdale plan for various reasons. I may change it up in 5 years, but right now my oldest is 7 so that is our plan for now.
