Is that the same for baseball tickets? If so, where is the best place to buy?

I'm gonna try to buy some tickets tonight and I instructed my better half to bring her iPhone. I am going to take a picture of his face and show it to him before I buy the tickets so that he knows we have his picture if they are fake.

I would suggest doing this in face to face transactions as well. At least it will give the cops something to go on.

I got scammed too and my 12 year old daughter was with me. We were lucky and got in the game after talking to the ticket office. The seats they gave us were much better than what I got scammed for. I say if you are caught camming someone, you should be beat with a freaking bat.

Is this for baseball tickets?
That sounds like a pretty cheese dick move for $25 or so worth of tickets.

seen on another board.
quote:

General rule of buying or selling anything on Craigslist: Cash is KING!!
When buying.....I put cash money directly into your hand, you put merchandise directly into my hand, end of transaction. There will be no bank transfers, no checks, no money orders, no travelers checks, no shipping fees..etc, etc.....

If they can't meet you in person at a neutral location to exchange item for cash..its most likely a scam.

a good rule to live by when buying tickets

Wrong, post dating checks will not cover you and if he cashes it before it's not on the bank, it's still on you.

Anybody that would pay in advance on this platform is an idiot. OOPPS, I didn't mean that, I have a 1974 Chevy Vega for sale, wire transfer $78,000.00 and I will deliver the car on the 3rd Tuesday of July or August or whenever. Or, you call me at BR549.

I suspect the email I just got is leading to this. Just doesn't sound right.

Hi, my name is brad, and I am from new orleans, louisiana... I am interested in buying your LSU vs. UNC football tickets that u have for sale? Are they still for sale? And if so, how much do u want for all 4 of them?.. Please let me know, thank you and I hope to hear from you soon.

just got an obvious scam email from barry.jason13@yahoo.com :

"i have sec 136 row 29,i have 6 tickets together,i am not a ticket broker, please email your home and cell number with area code to go over details, looking forward and talking."

This sounds just like the M.O. of the guy that people have posted about in the past. He requests your phone number, then calls from a blocked ID. He tries to make friends with you via conversation then eventually requests a Western Union wire transfer.

You cannot brand everyone the same. There are plenty of legitimate season ticket holders willing to exchange and sell. You just need to be careful as always and ask questions. Most on here know more about tickets and if you ask questions about Tiger Stadium, seating, etc. you can minimize risk. Just my thoughts.

Would you buy tickets from a person who hasn't received them from the Ticket office yet?

Just a little leery(sp)

Not sure if this has been mentioned on here as I haven't kept up with this thread:

In case anyone has been searching for Bama tickets on Craigslist, don't purchase from this person who made this post as he's an obvious scammer. Said he lives in Richmond and can only do the transaction on ebay.

This guy tried to get me with the same thing last night. His email address is searsjason60@yahoo.com. He sounds very sketchy on the phone and calls constantly insisting you to go to a grocery store.

lots of ticket scams on craigslist, one offering covered seating in section 203, the only cover in this section is the sky, and possibily beer from other students, scammers will try to seperate you from your money, remember meet in person, get as much information about the person as possible, have them call you on an unblocked phone with the id showing the name that you are given, take a photo of the person with you cell phone, if they refuse, don't buy, don't buy photo copies of on line tickets, unless you are at the stadium and they are willing to walk with you to the gate, BUYER BEWARE

Just received this from someone trying to sell tickets. What do you think?

The tickets are in the name of a relative of mine, but I buy the whole season ticket package every year. LSU just will not transfer them into my name, thus they just have to come to me thru him. As soon as he gets them, he sends them to me. I am in the Florida panhandle. I would prefer the payment to my Paypal account. That way I am assured of your purchase and will remove the ad. This is the way I always sell unused tickets and it works fine for both parties.
