Curious as to why you want to sell your season tickets? None of my business either way.

We (2 brothers) had 7 season tickets that were prime seats that had been in the family since the late 60s and we didn’t renew in 2020. In 2017 we lost all interest in going to games and tailgating. It had been waning for a while as we got in our 30s. We’re do a lot of hunting and fishing and my nephews would much rather hunt and fish. Also the politics that was being injected was a huge factor. Y’all can laugh at me all y’all want but for the NC run in 2019 I didn’t attend 1 game. My 2 brothers and their wives and sons made 5 home games and both CFP games at the end of the season. They haven’t attended a game since.

I still support LSU and keep up with them by reading this board but not renewing our tickets was probably the best decision we’ve made and I don’t miss it one bit. We’ve gotten to spend so much more time hunting and fishing and it’s been great for my young nephews.

Maybe it was an age thing for me. I’m approaching 40 but going back nearly 8 years I lost interest tailgating, then lost interest attending games.

I’ve had some great memories in Tiger Stadium though. Kennison and Gabe were my favorite players as a kid but when DiNardo took over I loved those players he brought in. Of course Faulk, Mealey, Larry Foster, Tyler, Faneca, Nikki Savoie (#11 TE), Lafluer, Ced Donaldson was one of my favorite DBs. Savoie was a big, baw. I remember him pancaking OT. Jeryl Myers, was he on the same team as Larry Foster? Can’t remember off the top of my head but thought he was going to be great.

97’ Florida Game and a few years later when we took Tennessee down in Tiger Stadium under Nick. I know we’ve had better games since that Tennessee game but it holds a special place in my heart. I still think that Tennessee game in Tiger Stadium was the one that made it all happen and was the catalyst to Nicks time at LSU. By this time I was 17 and the gal I brought to the game ended up becoming my wife 4 years later. Sadly I lost her to cancer nearly a decade ago. I still remember it like it was yesterday as the game expired picking her up and setting her on the other side of the fence as we and many others rushed the field. It was a great night for a 17 year old me and we fell in love shortly after. Maybe I lost interest in games after she passed as well.

Anyway, I’m excited for what CBK can do with this program and while I no longer attend games, I’ll always pull for them and hope for the best.

Sorry for the novel I posted above. Just wanted to to share

Oh, check out 9 minute clip below of that game. Crowd was great and I love Chavis’s face at the 3:28 mark after Josh Reed split far out takes the screen to the house.

The original ticket holder passed away last year. The family wanted to keep the tickets but I think they won't after this year. I am trying to help them sell
