are we going to be a zone-blocking team again next year?

it's like asking our defensive secondary to play zone. they never play great zone. but wow they can play man to man.

the zone blocking scheme was horrible. man-to-man means tell your lineman to get fired up and take care of their guy!

i am afraid miles will be stubborn and try to give it another year. this may be a bigger problem than even crowton calling plays.

BING!! O!!!

Allowing Crowton to change the blocking schemes this year was criminal.

If zone blocking is the problem, then the entire scope of NFL and college football has a problem. Thats what football is now. Go ahead and run a man blocking scheme against an attacking 3-4 like Saban's or anyone elses for that matter. You will look foolish very quickly. Please dont get on here with the new "buzz word" you heard or read in ESPN the Magazine this week and try to pass yourself off as a XnO guru. Child Please

we had a thread on this a few weeks ago and it was a pretty good explanation of how much zone blocking is used in football and how much we screwed up executing things on the line.
